Sections: by age as of January 1st, 2003: U10, U12, U14, U16, U18. Girls and boys play together, but are in separate categories for purposes of prizes and qualification.
Format: 5-round Swiss; time control: game/60 minutes; ½-point byes may be requested for all but the last round.
Schedule: Saturday - rounds at 12 noon, 2:15 pm, and 4:30 pm; Sunday - rounds at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, to be followed by playoffs as required.
Prizes and qualifications: Medallions (1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age category), 1st-place winners have possession of perpetual trophy; financial support in connection with the National Championships (July 7 - 10 in Kapuskasing, Ontario).
